Security Team

Our "Security" team is there to protect our pastor, families and children as we attend worship.

Our children's area is locked down at the beginning of the worship, to ensure protection for our little ones. Parents may contact a security person, if they need to get to their children.

Our nursery is also locked down, during the Worship.  Parents are given a monitor so they can be contacted, if there is a need.  There is also a two-way large window where parents can take a peak at their toddlers, if they just want to see how they are doing.  No one can check out their toddler without a monitor.

All of our teachers and volunteers are required to go through a background check, before working with our children or youth.

Our ministry team leader, for our building and outside maintenance, is Harold Grandy.

Harold, along with several other volunteers, does weekly checks to make sure that things are working properly in the church and repairs are taken care of. Harold and his team also make sure the grass and trees are watered on a weekly basis and that the weeds are kept down.

Dave Marshall takes care of the weekly mowing of the lawns and field.

There is plenty of areas for volunteering in the maintenance ministry. If you enjoy mowing the lawn, repairing or building things, this area of ministry might be just right for you. Contact Harold or the office, if you are interested in giving of your time and efforts.

Prison Ministry

Our prison ministry meets in the prisons on the 5th Sunday of the months that have 5 weeks (April, July, September and December)

GrandView has adopted the Arrowhead Correctional Facility as their adopted church behind bars.  All of those who go in, represent the love of Jesus to these incarcerated men.

Our Prison Ministry is led by Jerry & Florina Taylor

During these visits, they offer a time of worship, Bible study and devotions with the men that are incarcerated.

Anyone may help out with this ministry, but you must fill out paperwork and have background checks performed, before you are allowed to attend, so please see Jerry or Florina Taylor if this is something you might be interested in.

We support a numerous group of missionaries. Some of them are throughout the world while others are here in the states and locally in Canon City.  We have taken numerous mission trips with our youth and adults.

Prayer Ministry

Our prayer group is a group of people that meet every Sunday morning, before the Worship Service, between 9:00 - 9:45 a.m.

They meet in the library room and pray for special requests and that satan to be bound, especially during Sunday morning Worship.  They pray for a hedge of protection to be put around our church, community, over our service, pastor, youth and children, teachers, leaders, families, new visitors, etc.

Anyone is welcome to join them in the church library and come pray silently or out loud or just stop by to give them  a prayer request.

Praise & Worship

We believe God's people should gather every Lord’s Day to give Him honor and glory Him through worship.

Our Worship Leader is Jade Keller.

Worship is a gift to God from the heart and lips of every believer. A vital part of worship is music. We offer current contemporary music, as well as some of the older hymns and worship type songs.

Our Praise Team makes a commitment to be leaders in the church and grow through active participation in Bible study and prayer. They rehearse every Thursday evening, as well as, early every Sunday morning before worship.

If you love music and can play a guitar, keyboard or drums, or sing parts (such as; alto, soprano, bass, etc.) and can devote some time for weekly practice, we would love to have you check out our Praise team.
